DoctorDirect.com Inc. is a web-based portal allowing patients to make appointments with their doctors via the Internet. Founded in 2005, the company launched a pilot project in the Montreal region in 2007. DoctorDirect.com continues to grow and is now hiring an Analyst/Programmer C#. Net.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsible candidate will have to work on an independent environment with minimal supervision; the candidate will program, develop and maintain the DoctorDirect.com software suite and its web deployment. The candidate will actively contribute to product development by suggesting new functionalities and improvements. The candidate will also work and interact with external programming contractors in the software development and with the company’s web hosting services.

TASKS DESCRIPTION:

  • Participate in the analysis of the current and future needs
  • Learn and master the existing program architecture, coding and functionality
  • Assist with program specification development
  • Program to the specifications and to effectively interface with existing programming
  • Software testing to ensure effective functionality
  • Supervise and assist in the preparation of the documentation
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate back-up systems

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in data processing
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Web applications development on ASP.NET and C#, as well as in the basic management of data SQL
  • Good knowledge of the development environment of Visual Studio, data bases SQL
  • Overall vision of system composition
  • Flexible and available
  • Very well organized and with strong logic and common sense
  • Work effectively under deadlines
  • Autonomous, meticulous and strong initiative
  • Good team player, ready to work and contribute in a small company environment
  • Enjoys working in a small independent environment
